Annual reports

The annual business report documents the work of the Studentenwerk. In addition to facts and figures, it also offers the interested public an insight into Studentenwerk activities and responsibilities, current developments and future plans.

The DuETT student calendar, packed with Duisburg and Essen Tips and “Termine” (events), is published every year at the beginning of the winter semester. Here students can find all the important information and addresses they need for their studies. Alongside tips to help new students get their bearings, it also contains information on catering, accommodation, financing, international services, social issues, leisure activities – and of course also a practical week-by-week calendar.

Flyers & brochures


The BAföG flyer has the answers to important questions on the Federal Government’s training assistance. It covers subjects such as applications, maximum duration of financial assistance, and additional income.

The current BAföG forms for your application are available to download from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research website.

University catering

The university catering flyer explains the services offered by the Mensa dining halls and the cafeterias, gives their opening times and outlines our goal of taking a resource-saving and environmentally conscious approach to providing these services.

Studying with children

This flyer offers an overview of the services of our two daycare centres (Campino on the Duisburg campus & Brückenspatzen on the Essen campus), our flexible childcare service Tiegelkids and other options and self-help arrangements available on campus.

International services

This bilingual (German & English) brochure introduces you to our international services office, KOMM IN.

It describes how KOMM IN offers information on health insurance, employment, looking for accommodation and residence regulations and can help you in communicating with authorities, formulating letters and filling in forms.

Student accommodation

This flyer gives you an initial insight into eligibility for student accommodation, application and allocation formalities, rents and deposits. It lists the different types of accommodation and provides you with an overview of the student residences.
